"A month ago from today (9/14/11) I walked into McHenry Harley Davidson with the only purpose of going with a great friend and waiting while he got his back tire replaced. In less than two hours from the moment I walked in the door I rode out on a 2008 fully loaded Screaming Eagle that I now call my own. Some history, I was greeted by Paul Marski whom within minutes made it seem as if we had known each other for years. "When i first started to think about purchasing a motorcycle i stopped by a local dealer in the west chicago suburbs. the only thing the salesman wanted me to do was fill out a credit check and put a deposit, i didnt even know what i wanted. While in the McHenry iL. area we stopped in at the dealer ship and meet a salesman named Paul. All he did was answer questions after question and never once tried to sell me a bike. I finally decided on a used touring model. Since then my son and a co worker has purchased new motorcycles from Paul. Everybody in the whole organization from the manager,(who cooks the bests Brats), Barb in finance and parts and service people have been there for every question. "I've been riding motorcycles for over 50 years so I've been in a few bike shops. Since I didn't have any service work done I can't honestly rate McHenry HD's service department. But if it's anything like their sales department I'd give them 5 stars too. Paul Mariski definitely went out of his way to see that I left McHenry, IL happy. He drove over an hour (one way) to pick me up (the train was an hour late) and take me to the dealership. At this point I was not obligated to purchase anything. "I had a great experience at McHenry HD. My girlfriend Nancy and I road tripped all the way from Washington State to pick up my new Buell 1125R in person. The bike was everything I hoped it would be and the staff at McHenry HD were great. The weather was cold that day and the shop was busy but everything just went smooth. When we got ready to load up the bike the staff was at the ready, it was like having my own pit crew getting my new bike ready to go! "My 1973 Yamaha RD350 broke down in Huntley last weekend. A McHenry Harley Davidson mechanic, Dan Carbine, was on his way home from work and stopped to give me a hand. Dan went out of his way and even let me use his garage to shelter from a thunder storm. We got my bike going and I got home in the dry.

"I know quite a few people with HD in other parts of the country and have heard some iffy stories about the dealer. But I was pleasantly surprised by how I was dealt with to this point. I feel I was treated fairly by everyone I was in contact with. The proof comes after the sale. So far the service dept. has been top notch. From making recommendations on parts to making sure my bike was ready before they promised it would be. Brian in the service dept has made sure I've been taken care of and has been very patient with an experienced rider, but novice HD owner. I would (and will) recommend McHenry HD to anyone looking for a HD. Only complaint is that as a smaller store, their in-stock accessory selection is limited. But if they don't have it they can get it.
Unless I have no choice, McHenry HD will be the dealer I look to first for anything HD."

"This is my first Harley and Brad and Chris made the experience a good one. They pride themselves on "doing the right thing" and not just making a sale. I bought a used sportster and had minor issues from delivery. Brad and Chris had the bike gone through by the service dept 3 or 4 times to get the problem corrected at no charge. All this with no extended warranty and a bike that was off factory warranty.
